We’re lucky to have learned from some of the best in the HR and service technology industry and we’re obsessed with sharing what we’ve learned.
I first learned of the minimum viable product (MVP) concept while reading “The Lean Startup,” by Eric Ries. Simply put, MVP is a product with just enough features to satisfy early customers and to provide feedback for future product development. I like MVP because it quickly provides value, rapidly enables a new capability and allows for a more focused solution in the first release. If the solution is a fit, continue to build on it. If it missed the mark, the investment was small, which allows for a pivot. In the context of HR Service Delivery, we don’t often get to talk about MVP, much less design one.
Why does customer experience matter to organizations more than ever? Simply put, within the ethos of the subscription economy, recurring revenue is sustained through attitudinal loyalty or psychologically positive brand affinity.
As I sit here typing my latest blog, it has become more apparent to me that here at The Anti we have found ourselves in the middle of something truly great. Why did it just hit me? Well, I’m currently sitting in my hotel room preparing to meet with a Fortune 100 company that can’t get enough of us
When I was asked to write a blog on "Why I joined the Anti" I was happy to do so, but for some reason, I struggled with getting my thoughts on paper. While I knew in my head, heart, and gut why I joined, my words seemed disjointed and didn’t express my true thoughts. It came across as if I was trying too hard to cover typical reasons. The result sounded like a recruiting blog - very salesy. I shelved it for a couple of days and then visited my favorite Starbucks and just wrote.
Have you ever lost something that you knew was special, but you could not put your finger on it? I mean, a lot of us lose our car keys on occasion and you might freak out, but this is something different. I worked for a start-up and a partner of ServiceNow in 2012 and as I reflect back to that time, I believe the “special” was there.
I have had the honor of speaking in front of lots of groups in my career. Large groups and not so large groups. In ballrooms. In boardrooms. On the beach. Yes, that’s not a typo. On the beach. So when I was asked to be part of a panel to discuss why Improving the Employee Experience is so vital these days, I immediately said YES.
“Friday. Only two working days until Monday.” This was a common saying when I used to work at Big Blue. In much of the consulting world, the expectation of being “always on” has been commonplace for decades. The introduction of smartphones has exacerbated this.
There are many reasons for me to be excited about joining The Anti, but today, I would like to focus on the big two… 1) the team at The Anti is the best in the industry. Their skills, capabilities and the culture of this company cannot be matched. However, what truly sets this team apart is how helpful and authentic each and everyone at The Anti is. Being surrounded by genuinely great people is what makes the journey so much more rewarding. 2) consulting teams in the ServiceNow ecosystem have an opportunity to be an integral part of the digital transformation happening in HR and will continue for many years to come.
This time last year, I was nursing what remained of my frazzled soul after a transformative yet grueling year of Federal Contracting. I love consulting. I love working in IT. The opportunity to specialize in ServiceNow over the last four years of my career was the jumping point into technology implementations, and consulting has given me a challenging space to hone my project management, training, and technical skills to make me the well-rounded “swiss army knife” (to steal a phrase from our fearless leader and CEO, Wayne Chattaway) that I am today.
Humility is defined as freedom from pride or arrogance. When I decided to start a new company, this was one of the first core values to come to mind. Yes ahead of any business plans, I wanted to define first what our culture would be. If I’m going to put my name on something, the people that were going to represent this thing we're going to have to be humble by nature. Why do you ask? People generally work with people that they like...when they can.
One year? Seriously? That was only one year? Can’t be. I can honestly say, not since I had my first child has one calendar year taught me so much. Things that I can’t unlearn. Unsee.
Every company struggles with delivering an incredible Employee Experience. At The Anti, our goal is to help our customers deliver the best experience to their employees by leveraging the perfect combination of forward-thinking strategy and technology delivered by the ServiceNow platform. One of the trends we’re seeing is the necessity to integrate ServiceNow with other Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud applications, reducing inefficiencies and gaps created by using disparate systems. Specifically, our customers are asking to connect seamlessly to Workday, one of the leading HCM solutions in the market.
Wow! What a week!! It kicked off with our training group leading packed classes of ServiceNow customers wanting to know more about what this robust platform will do.
Rewind to November 30, 2017, and The Anti’s 2018 company kickoff. We were fortunate to spend a few hours with Michele O’Brien who is ServiceNow’s area director of HR Product Line Sales, Americas South/LATAM. During our time with Michele, a light bulb went on.
I knew this was something I needed to do. I love adventure and trying new things. I was ready for a change, so I took the leap from Disney to The Anti and have never looked back.
I decided to make the jump from Target to The Anti because I know our world is changing. The organizations that realize we need more than human thinking will have a competitive advantage in the market.
Throughout my last year there, I was restless. I sensed my arc had come back to Earth. "Is my work finished here”? "Do I need to pick a different lane”? "What's next”? It took a change of scenery and a professional "layover" at KPMG to gain the perspective I needed to make the next move.
As I sit 37,000 feet in the air on the way back from yet another HR Tech, I decided to type for all of you the answer to the most common question asked of me this week. What is The Anti?
